The inspiration originates from a young man from Cupertino named Justin Perkins, whose resilience and courage in his fight with cancer inspired his community. Although he lost his battle with cancer in 2008, it is his spirit of helping others that we hope to spread to the rest of the world. The Sandlot Hero is someone you know from your communuity that inspires you. Our goal is to share the stories of the ordinary people that do extraordinary things each and every day; and build/expand the Sandlot Hero Community to support the causes.
